even though i am not a child anymore...

i belong to those people who just looves Christmas;
the magical feeling of it and atmosphere, creating parcels for others, wandering in a wintery woodland,
tea & treats, reading winter stories and watching films...

today i visited in Beatrix Potter's official web page and found a fun little Peter Rabbit's 'Winter's Tale Game' game, and wanted to surely share this with you. i believe this game is for the children, but it brought smile on my face... and then there is also a lovely desktop advent calendar which you can download.

enchanted moments in a studio

i have made a new arrangement in my studio few weeks ago, and still there is things i need to do; like adding a new table and few chairs for tea times and a good book. but i actually love to be here now more than before. i do like my little treasures and woodland inspired things.
this shelf is made by my sister many many years ago, i have filled it with Beatrix Potter antique books; i still need to purchase the pieces i do not have, especially 'Ginger and Pickles', Julie's dear dear pottery; the rabbit with a house is newest addition on my collection, woodland treasures, ribbons from this lovely shop in Kendal, wooden pools which i need to fill with lace and ribbons, loveliest rubber stamps; largest deer is a gift from friend Nina, she knows how much i love these forest creatures....

there is other parts of my studio, which i will show later. the weather has been very gloomy lately, i think just few days blue skies and sun in few months!!
no sign of snow yet, but i know the snow flakes will flutter soon upon the trees.

new patch of acorns, mushrooms and few other things.
some of them are in very wintry mood.

i am very excitedly waiting next spring, i am travelling in dear England once again then. oh, joy!!!
i will be there wandering in gardens with my class mates for five days. rest of the time i will visit in shops and museums and tea rooms. how lovely. it just makes my heart fill with happiness, when i know that i will go in England again. though, i wish i could travel for a little while in English country side. does any one know any lovely places near London?

and then there is also a necklace with a deer. i have been inspired by those beautiful late autumn colors and by a visits of deer's in earlier this autumn time.

new shop name

i have been wishing that i could change my Etsy shop name some time now. apparently my wish comes true! Etsy is making some changes which enables to change shops names. i have a two names on my mind: woodland jewelries or woodland wanderer. i do like more maybe woodland jewelries, because it straight away tells what i am selling on my shop.
what you would think? i would like to know

morning walk

(Faqus grandifolia)

what i love also about this large woodland garden is that i always find new trees and plants to see. today early in the morning i had a little walk and discovered new things to photograph. later in the noon i saw bullfinches and a robin singing in a bare tree. the robin was not singing like on a spring time, more quietly but still with a lovely way.

yesterday and today we where gathering hemlock cones and other tree berries and seeds up on the branches with a machine. such a beautiful moment to gather seeds from the tree tops! i gathered few hemlock cones, which i will use when i will create a special "hemlock" necklace.

(Euonymus europaeus)

autumn light

this is my third week living in this wonderful arboretum. i have had my lonely times in here, wandering by myself usually under the autumn trees. but i am so grateful that i am able to be here, to be part of this place. next week i will pack my bags and will go to school again, knowing that i am more confident with knowing many new trees and plants now. i have learned already so much in this time.

today we where gathering acorns in a mossy acorn woodland, magical! i could just imagine all the woodland mices gathering acorns on their homes. time to time i looked above me where i saw how the wind was moving autumn colored oaks.
i long to make some acorn gatherer jewelries. maybe i even use some part of real acorns i have been gathering, even now i need to empty my coat pockets off them.

thuja forest

here i am in arboretum on my second day. i like to work in here. yesterday we gathered Pseudotsuga menziesii, douglasfir cones. i just love those trees, somehow i feel very safe when i am around them. workers in arboretum gather seeds from the trees in this autumn time. sell them forward or plant new trees from them. i should have some sort of journal with me all the time, since i hear such a things from trees i would not maybe learn from books or from my school.

yesterday was such a rainy day that i could not take a walk around the woodland. but today right after i had my afternoon cappuccino and scones i went for a walk. i do love love this woodland park so much. there is so much to see, things i did not saw last time i was here in summer time. i took a walk in a thuja forest, those trees are mesmerizing! and forest full of them is just enchanting thing to see. it begun to rain little but i walked middle of rhododendron forest, i wish i could show you how beautiful the place is. such a amount of rhodo's and other plants, it must be such a breathtaking place in summer when they are in bloom!
there is so many things to see and learn, amazing trees which i would want to have.

hare under the falling leaves

i am always wishing to see woodland animals.
although i live in edge of woodland i do not often see animals, except birds and squirrels, it is truly a gift to see other animals. maybe by creating these jewelries and wearing them will enchant the animals to come more in my view.
"hare under the falling leaves" necklace is something i just listed on my etsy shop. autumn is full of inspiration and i enjoy so muchto create these autumn jewelries.

Deer's are here again

It is the time of the year when the farmer's have been gathering away the crop and deer's come in to the fields to eat. few days ago the deer's appeared in the nearby field. i have been looking from the balcony windows, wishing to see the deer's. i was just saying to my sister that why can't i see the deer's when i saw them from the window.

two deer babies and their mother, i am afraid that something has happened to the mail deer, since it is hunting season in here. hopefully not. before i saw the deer's yesterday i begun to create deer jewelries, which i have wanted to make such a long time. i have been trying to find a vintage photograph which i could use on my jewelries, and i found one.
i will list new autumn jewelries tomorrow on my Etsy.
