First of May


This week has been quite gloomy and rainy. I love listen to the rain, but i am not sure do i love to see the grey skies almost everyday... 
Between rain drops i have wandered in to the woods and watched Lark Rise to Candleford ( i heart this BBC's show utterly much)


and sipped rosy tea of my most favorite Julie Whitmore's teacup, which she made for me last spring and in return i gave to her one of my bracelets (though i always felt that i should have sent to her much more, since the cup is too perfect). 
She creates the most beautiful pottery i have ever seen!


For the perfect celebration of first of May yesterday i baked a sponge cake filled with last summer's strawberries and cream. English baking recipes and tea are one of my weaknesses...


Tomorrow i shall go to a interview in a garden school which is quite close our parents village. I do not want to take any pressure of the interview since i know that i will get in if it is meant to be so. But it would be wonderful to be able to study gardening, creating flower posies and be able to work with soil!

p.s. edited on evening... there was at last a day full of blue sky and wandering clouds.

    Good luck with your interview tomorrow! I share your attitude about these things - if it is meant to be, it will happen.

    I like that show too, it is on New Zealand Tv at the moment,a tasty cake, and the sun will shine tomorrow I am sure, cheers Marie

    oh, it makes my own heart sing to see one of our julie's bird cups!!! don't you love the way the glaze has crackled over time?
